Solid Start
We have had a great start these first three weeks 5 wins and 1 loss. We lost a tough game to Shorecrest last night but I think we learned a lot from the game. We have scored 28 goals and only given up 6. The girls have also done a great job with their fundraisers and they are looking forward to getting some new equipment.

First game of 2014
We opened the year with a statement against Cascade (8-1). We scored 8 goals by 7 different players. Impressive but we have some big challenges ahead. We play our first game on the new turf field on Thursday night against Interlake HS of Bellevue.

WEEK 5: Big Win
We had another solid week with big wins versus Monroe and Lynnwood. It is very tough to win at Monroe and we played great that night. Bre started us off early with a goal two minutes in and that all our defense needed. Led by Madi, Kerra and Kat we recorded two consecutive shutouts. My favorite goal of the week was the header that Mckenzie put in off of a corner from Marisa. Nice work girls. The focus for next week is improving our communication.

Week 4: 14-1
Wow! What a great week. We outscored Mt. Vernon, Stanwood and Bothell 14 -1 this week. Kat, Madi, Kerra and the rest of the defense played great. Up front we scored some sweet goals. One of nicest was a our 5th against Bothell. Danielle one touched a cross from Bre right into the bottom corner. A great finish to a fun week. The JV won all three also. Jesse had a sweet hat trick against Stanwood. Nice job!

Let the games begin
We completed a solid first week of WESCO action. I was very pleased with our 3-0 result against Lake Stevens and our JV 2-0 win. We have been focusing on defending and possession at practice. I thought our defense was solid and we had glimpses of good possession but we still have lots of work to do. Our Snohomish game was a heart breaker. Overall, it was an awesome high school soccer game. Both teams had chances but we failed to capitalize on our opportunities and lost 1-0 as Snohomish scored in the last 3 minutes. I was pleased with our adjustments at halftime and the girls played a great second half. This is a long week with 3 games. Our goal is to try to get 3 shutouts. Go Eagles!
